A Story of Romantic Nostalgia

[Client] Blumenhaus
[Year] 2026
[Made at] Kerma

[Editorial, Art Direction, Editing]

Editorial for Blumenhaus Magazine - @blumenhausmagazine.

In an era ruled by nostalgia’s allure, this project weaves a dialogue between two moments in history united by a longing to escape, the ethereal Romanticism of the 19th century and our modern-day fascination with the sensual, sun-drenched spirit of the 1970s. As Romantic artists once pushed back against the iron and smoke of the Industrial Revolution, today’s gaze turns rearward, searching for softness, nature, and a slower pulse. The series unveils a model draped in contemporary pieces cut with seventies undertones—burnt oranges, fluid silhouettes—first captured against a stark backdrop, then transported into hand-painted landscapes of another time. Through collage and refined manipulation, photography slips toward the language of painting, inviting blur, grain, and tactile imperfections. It becomes a meditation on our collective yearning for the essential, reframed, and reimagined through today’s visual language.

Db journey

[Client] Db journey
[Year] 2021
[Made with] Dany Wang

[Art Direction, Logo]

With Dany Wang, we were in charge of the rebranding of Db (a Scandinavian brand of technical bags, previously known as Douchebags). Instagram: @dbjourney.

The Do better Project - Before the rebrandingFor the third and final launch of Db x Benjamin Ortega, we’ve developed a collection of products which emit 30% less CO2 than anything else we have made, designed data you can wear and worked closely with you, our Db community. Together we’ve opened the dialogue around sustainability and collected over 584 bags of trash from our streets, forests, mountains, and beaches.

With Dany Wang, we were in charge of the graphic design of the bags and graphic illustration of the project. Very happy to have led this ethical project with Dany for Db.

The idea is to display the ecological progress of the production of the bags directly on the bag, so that the graphics and the information are one.

[AI, Collage, Art Direction]

We created a side project with Laura Schott, specialising in Artificial Intelligence and Editing. We use the Midjourney tool, by infusing our vision as art directors, with the aim of creating visual consistency. We integrate branded products into a setting created with an Artificial Intelligence. We create collages. Instagram @whatwesaww.

Description : What We Saw is a creative duo of two art directors based in Paris, using Midjourney as a tool—never as an end. With backgrounds in luxury, 3D, branding, and a strong command of Adobe’s creative suite, they blend their artistic direction expertise with AI to craft images that transcend generative aesthetics.Their process combines abstract composition, illustrative textures, collage, and detailed retouching to shape a singular visual language. Far from the often uniform "AI style," their work is defined by conceptual intent, visual consistency, and a carefully honed, human touch.
