Moving Stills started with a sentence. While reading Entre les deux by @panayotispascot, I came across an idea from Beatrice Fournera that stayed with me: unfolding within the in-between. We are always waiting for something. A project. Recognition. Love. A child. A new chapter. Yet the finish line keeps moving, and we rarely allow ourselves to inhabit the space in between. This editorial explores that suspended state. Inspired by the sublime landscapes of J. M. W. Turner and Caspar David Friedrich, and by the tension between stillness and movement found in Romantic and Post-Romantic painting, the images depict quiet figures surrounded by turbulent skies and shifting landscapes. Calm within the storm.

Moving Stills is an invitation to pause, reflect, and unfold within the in-between.
